Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Future Research (BAFR) was established to provide an international scholarly platform for rigorous research on artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies, intelligent digital systems, and emerging directions in technological innovation.
Establishment and Scholarly Direction
Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Future Research (BAFR) was established in 2025 as an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by WISE Pendidikan Indonesia.
The journal was developed in response to the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence, blockchain, decentralized technologies, intelligent information systems, and their growing interaction with individuals, organizations, industries, and wider society. From its inception, BAFR has sought to provide an interdisciplinary scholarly environment in which technological development is examined alongside human interaction, digital trust, governance, innovation, and responsible implementation.
Development Timeline
Establishment of BAFR
BAFR commenced publication as an online, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to research on blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and emerging digital innovation.
Inaugural Issue — May 2025
The inaugural issue established BAFR's first scholarly publication record and introduced research spanning artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency, decentralized technologies, workforce transformation, and the convergence of artificial intelligence and blockchain.
Completion of the First Annual Publication Cycle
The November 2025 issue completed BAFR's first annual publication cycle and broadened the journal's scholarly record through research addressing AI-enabled learning, organizational applications, digital transformation, blockchain finance, and the wider implications of intelligent technologies.
Continuous Publication within a Biannual Structure
BAFR operates a continuous publication model within its regular May and November issue structure. Articles are published individually as final scholarly records once peer review, editorial evaluation, copyediting, and production have been completed.
Second Volume and Scholarly Consolidation
BAFR entered its second volume with an increasingly defined scholarly orientation toward artificial intelligence, human-centered computing, intelligent information systems, blockchain technologies, digital trust, and the responsible application of emerging technologies.
Continuing International Development
The journal continues to strengthen its editorial policies, international scholarly network, peer-review practices, publication transparency, research-integrity standards, and scientific positioning while maintaining open access to its published content.
Continuity of Publication
BAFR publishes two regular issues annually, designated as May and November. Under its continuous publication model, an issue may be opened before its designated issue month, and completed articles may be added progressively during the publication cycle. Individual articles retain their respective official online publication dates.
