Copyright Retention

Authors retain copyright in articles published by BAFR. Publication in the journal does not require authors to transfer ownership of copyright to the journal or publisher.

Authors remain the copyright holders of their work while acknowledging Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Future Research (BAFR) as the journal of first publication.

Publication Rights

Non-Exclusive Licence to Publish

By agreeing to publication, authors grant BAFR and its publisher, WISE Pendidikan Indonesia, a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, preserve, and identify the article as originally published by BAFR.

Because this right is non-exclusive, authors remain free to use, distribute, archive, and reuse their work in accordance with the applicable Creative Commons license and appropriate acknowledgment of the original publication.

Open License

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International

CC BY 4.0

Unless otherwise stated, articles published by BAFR are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This license permits users to copy, share, redistribute, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the published material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given, the applicable license is identified, and any changes to the original material are indicated.

Rights of Readers and Reusers

Read & Download Published articles may be accessed and downloaded without subscription or reader charges.
Share Users may copy and redistribute published material in any medium or format subject to the license terms.
Adapt Users may remix, transform, translate, or build upon the material where permitted by the CC BY 4.0 license.
Reuse Reuse is permitted for scholarly, educational, professional, and commercial purposes when the license requirements are met.

Attribution Requirements

Reuse of BAFR content under CC BY 4.0 should provide appropriate credit to the author or authors, identify BAFR as the original publication venue, include sufficient bibliographic information to identify the published article, identify the applicable license, and indicate whether changes have been made.

Attribution must not imply that the authors, editors, journal, or publisher endorse a particular reuse, adaptation, product, service, organization, or interpretation unless such endorsement has been explicitly provided.

Author Rights

Author Distribution and Reuse

Authors may enter into separate, additional, non-exclusive arrangements for distribution or reuse of the published work, including inclusion in books, scholarly collections, teaching materials, institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, personal academic websites, or other lawful scholarly platforms.

Where the Version of Record is redistributed, authors should provide acknowledgment of the article's original publication in BAFR and, where practicable, include the article DOI or another persistent link to the journal record.

Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit their work in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, personal academic websites, and other appropriate scholarly platforms.

After publication, authors may archive the final published Version of Record, provided that the original BAFR publication is appropriately acknowledged and the article's publication details are preserved.

Scholarly Record

Version of Record

The version formally published by BAFR is the Version of Record. It contains the final editorial and production content associated with the article's official journal record and DOI.

When authors or third parties redistribute the Version of Record, the article should remain identifiable as a BAFR publication and should not be presented in a manner that obscures its provenance, publication history, corrections, retractions, or other subsequent updates to the scholarly record.

Third-Party Copyrighted Material

Authors are responsible for ensuring that material included in a manuscript does not unlawfully infringe the rights of third parties. Where permission is legally required to reproduce or adapt copyrighted figures, tables, images, datasets, instruments, or other material, authors must obtain the necessary permission before publication.

Third-party content that is not covered by the article's CC BY 4.0 license should be clearly identified through an appropriate credit line or rights statement. Users are responsible for obtaining any additional permission required for reuse of such material.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for confirming that they have the legal authority to publish the submitted material, that authorship and attribution are accurate, that required permissions have been obtained, and that copyright or licensing restrictions affecting included material have been disclosed to the journal.

Open Licensing Principle

No Additional Restrictions

BAFR does not impose additional legal or technological restrictions that would prevent users from exercising the permissions granted under the applicable Creative Commons license.

Policy Alignment

Related Journal Policies

Copyright and licensing should be interpreted together with the journal's Open Access Policy, Publication Ethics Statement, Archiving Policy, Deposit Policy, and Correction and Retraction Policy.

Copyright & Licensing Principle

Authors Retain Copyright. Research Remains Open.

BAFR combines author copyright retention with open licensing to support responsible reuse, scholarly visibility, preservation, knowledge exchange, and broad access to the published research record.
