Author Guidelines

Authors submitting to Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Future Research (BAFR) should ensure that their manuscript is original, relevant to the journal's aims and scope, methodologically sound, transparently reported, and prepared using the current BAFR manuscript template.

Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's official submission system. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all manuscript files, metadata, author information, declarations, and supplementary materials are complete and accurate at the time of submission.

Submission of a manuscript confirms that the work has not been published previously in substantially the same form and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.

Article Types

Manuscript Template

Authors must prepare manuscripts using the current BAFR article template. The template defines the journal's page layout, typography, heading hierarchy, author-information format, table and figure presentation, references, declarations, and other publication elements.

Manuscripts that substantially depart from the current template may be returned for technical revision before editorial evaluation. Authors should therefore download a fresh copy of the template before preparing a new submission.

General Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English and submitted in an editable Microsoft Word-compatible format. Authors should use the styles and formatting already provided in the journal template rather than manually redesigning the manuscript.

The writing should be concise, precise, and appropriate for an international scholarly audience. National or locally specific terminology, institutional categories, abbreviations, or educational levels should be explained using internationally understandable terminology at first mention.

Abbreviations should be defined at first use and used consistently. Excessive abbreviation, unnecessary repetition, promotional language, unsupported generalizations, and formulaic or mechanically generated scholarly prose should be avoided.

Title and Author Information

The article title should be informative, specific, and concise. The recommended maximum length is 20 words. Avoid unnecessary abbreviations, formulae, and overly broad claims.

Author names should be presented consistently with the authors' scholarly identities. Each institutional affiliation should include the department or unit where applicable, institution, city, and country.

One author must be identified as the corresponding author and provide an active email address. Authors are strongly encouraged to provide their ORCID identifiers and to ensure that the OJS metadata matches the manuscript exactly.

Structure of Original Research Articles

Results and Discussion may be presented as separate sections or as a combined Results and Discussion section when this is more appropriate to the study design. Subheadings should be used where they improve the logical presentation of substantial results.

Review Articles

Review articles should provide a critical and integrative synthesis of the relevant literature and should demonstrate a clear scholarly contribution beyond summarizing previous studies.

Systematic, scoping, bibliometric, or other structured reviews should transparently describe their search strategy, databases or sources, eligibility or selection criteria, analytical procedures, and other methodological steps appropriate to the review design.

References and In-Text Citations

BAFR uses a numeric citation system based on IEEE reference style. References should be cited consecutively according to their first appearance in the manuscript using square brackets, for example [1], [2], or [3]–[6].

The reference list must follow the same numerical order. Authors should verify carefully that every in-text citation corresponds to the correct reference entry and that every reference-list entry is cited in the manuscript.

References should prioritize relevant, credible, and sufficiently current scholarly literature. Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) should be provided in active DOI format whenever available. Authors are responsible for checking the accuracy of bibliographic details and DOI links before submission.

Authors are encouraged to use reference-management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to improve citation consistency. Excessive self-citation, irrelevant citation, coercive citation, or citation practices intended primarily to manipulate citation metrics are not acceptable.

Required Declarations

Where applicable, manuscripts should contain clear declarations concerning the following matters:

Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies

Generative AI systems cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, citations, interpretation, integrity, and final content of their manuscript.

Material use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies in scholarly writing, analysis, generation of research content, or substantial manuscript revision should be disclosed transparently in accordance with the journal's publication-ethics requirements.

Research Integrity and Originality

Authors must submit original work and appropriately acknowledge all sources. Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, undisclosed redundant publication, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, and peer-review manipulation are inconsistent with BAFR's publication standards.

Similarity-detection reports are used as editorial screening tools and are interpreted in context. A similarity percentage alone does not determine whether plagiarism has occurred.

Data and Supplementary Materials

Supporting datasets, code, instruments, appendices, multimedia files, additional analyses, or other relevant supplementary materials may be submitted when they materially improve transparency, verification, or interpretation of the research. Authors must ensure that supplementary materials comply with applicable ethical, privacy, legal, and intellectual-property requirements.

Final Author Check

Before submitting, authors should confirm that the manuscript follows the current journal template; all author names, affiliations, identifiers, and correspondence information are correct; the title, abstract, keywords, tables, figures, citations, references, declarations, ethical information, and supplementary materials are complete; and all DOI and external-reference information has been checked for accuracy.
