Article Processing Charge
Article Processing Charge
Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Future Research (BAFR) provides immediate open access to its published content. An Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only to manuscripts that have successfully completed editorial evaluation and peer review and have received a final acceptance decision.
APC Policy
BAFR publishes all articles under an open-access model, allowing readers worldwide to access published research without subscription charges. To support the costs associated with scholarly publishing, an Article Processing Charge of USD 100 is applied to each article accepted for publication.
The APC is charged only after a manuscript has completed the journal's editorial and peer-review process and has received a formal final acceptance decision. Authors are not required to make any payment when submitting a manuscript or while it is undergoing peer review.
What the APC Supports
Fees Do Not Influence Editorial Decisions
Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of scholarly quality, methodological rigor, research integrity, relevance to the journal's aims and scope, and the outcome of independent peer review.
The ability or willingness of an author to pay the APC has no influence on manuscript selection, peer review, editorial recommendations, or the final decision. Payment of an APC does not guarantee acceptance or publication.
No Paid Fast-Track Peer Review
BAFR does not operate a paid fast-track, priority-review, or guaranteed-acceptance service. All manuscripts are handled through the journal's standard editorial and peer-review procedures. Editorial priority cannot be purchased through additional payment.
APC Waiver Policy
BAFR recognizes that publication charges may present a financial barrier for some authors. Authors who are unable to obtain sufficient publication funding may request a full or partial APC waiver.
Waiver requests should preferably be submitted at the time of manuscript submission or before the final acceptance and payment stage. Authors should provide a brief explanation of the financial circumstances supporting the request.
Waiver requests are treated confidentially and separately from the scientific evaluation of the manuscript. Requesting a waiver does not influence peer review or editorial decision-making. Approval of a waiver depends on the circumstances of the request and available journal resources.
Payment Procedure
Following final editorial acceptance, the corresponding author will receive an official notification containing the applicable APC and payment instructions.
Authors should make payment only through payment instructions issued by the journal or publisher. BAFR does not request payment as a condition for sending a manuscript to peer review.
Withdrawal and Publication Charges
Authors considering withdrawal should contact the Editorial Office as early as possible. Any financial matter associated with an accepted manuscript will be handled transparently in accordance with the stage reached in the publication process. No fee is charged merely for submitting a manuscript or receiving a rejection decision.
