Vol. 1 No. 2 (May 2026) of Gender, Islamic Law, and Sustainability presents a collection of scholarly articles that critically examine the intersections of gender, Islamic law, family justice, child protection, environmental sustainability, and contemporary social transformation. This issue features studies on gender-responsive joint property distribution after divorce, maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah and child protection in Indonesia and Egypt, SDGs implementation in education and environmental governance, interdisciplinary reconstruction of marriage contracts, Islamic legal protection of family privacy in the digital era, and reform of minimum marriage-age regulations in Malaysia and Indonesia.
