Correction and Retraction

The Journal of Gender, Islamic Law, and Sustainability is committed to maintaining the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record. We take our responsibility to ensure the accuracy of published content very seriously. Changes to articles after they have been published online are made in accordance with the following guidelines, which align with best practices in the academic publishing community.

  1. Erratum

An Erratum is issued when there are errors or omissions in an article that need correction. This includes typographical mistakes, factual errors, or other minor issues that do not affect the study's conclusions but need to be addressed to maintain the accuracy of the published work.

  1. Retraction

A Retraction is issued when a paper should no longer be considered part of the scientific literature due to significant issues such as unreliable findings, plagiarism, unethical research practices, or prior publication without proper reference.

  1. Publisher's Note

A Publisher's Note is issued for cases where typographical or production errors, which are the responsibility of the Publisher, affect the integrity of the article's metadata (e.g., title, author list, byline) or significantly impact the reader’s understanding of the article.

  1. Correction Timeline

Beyond One Year: Corrections to articles published more than one year ago will be documented solely through a Publisher’s Note .
