Gender, Islamic Law, and Sustainability (GILS) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, and open-access journal that invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to contribute original research and critical studies examining the intersection of gender studies, Islamic law (Sharia), and sustainability in contemporary societies.
The journal provides an academic forum for exploring how Islamic legal frameworks, gender perspectives, and sustainability principles interact, influence one another, and respond to pressing global challenges, including social justice, environmental sustainability, and sustainable development in Muslim and non-Muslim contexts.
