Article Processing Charge

All the articles published in the Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Future Research (BAFR) are freely available online (open access).

To make it possible, there is an article processing charge (APC) to cover the range of the publishing services that we provide. The charges are including the provision of online tools for editors and authors, article producing and journal website hosting, similarity check with Turnitin (Result will be sent to authors upon request), final article layout, article abstracting, and indexing services, and customer services.

During the submission and peer-review process, there are no charges. The APC is charged to the author when their manuscript is editorially accepted or before the publication in the amount of USD 100. Further information to make payments will be notified along with the status of their manuscript is editorially accepted.

Upon editorial acceptance of an article, the corresponding author will be notified the payment process. Payment is due within 15 days of the manuscript receiving editorial acceptance. We advise prompt payment as we are unable to publish accepted articles until full payment has been received.

Waiver Policy

1. Purpose

This Waiver Policy is designed to ensure that publication processing fees do not become a barrier for authors wishing to publish their scientific work in our journal. We are committed to supporting high-quality research and facilitating broader access to scholarly contributions.

2. Fee Waivers

Our journal offers the option of fee waivers for authors who may face financial constraints. Eligible authors can apply for a waiver of the Article Processing Charges (APC) through the established procedure.

3. Eligibility Criteria for Waiver Applications

Waiver applications may be submitted by the authors or the corresponding author based on the following considerations:

  • Financial Constraints: Authors from institutions or countries with limited research budgets.
  • Research Quality: Research that makes a significant contribution to the field and has high potential impact.
  • Affiliation or Collaboration: Authors who are members of or collaborate with partner organizations of the journal.

4. Application Procedure

  • Submission: Authors must submit their waiver request along with their manuscript. The application should include supporting documentation, such as financial details and reasons for the request.
  • Review: The waiver request will be reviewed by the editorial committee or relevant officials. The decision will be based on the established criteria and the provided documentation.
  • Decision: The decision regarding the fee waiver will be communicated to the corresponding author within one week of receiving the request.

5. Rights and Policy

  • Waiver Policy: Our journal reserves the right to approve or reject any fee waiver application. The decision is final and not subject to appeal.
  • Confidentiality: All waiver requests and related decisions will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Reevaluation: Waiver policies and procedures may be reviewed and updated periodically.
