Journal History

SAKAGURU: Journal of Pedagogy and Creative Teacher was established in October 2023, marked by the development of its official journal website and the preparation of a comprehensive editorial management system. From its inception, the journal began accepting manuscript submissions from both national and international authors.

Between January and April 2024, SAKAGURU conducted its first full editorial cycle, which included manuscript submission, peer-review coordination, and editorial screening. This initial process culminated in the publication of the inaugural issue in May 2024, signifying the journal’s transition into a regular publication schedule.

On 30 October 2024, SAKAGURU successfully obtained its International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) for its online publication, demonstrating its formal recognition as an academic journal.

To further enhance its visibility and accessibility, SAKAGURU was officially indexed in Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital) in August 2024, strengthening its integration within Indonesia’s national academic indexing system.

Since its establishment, SAKAGURU: Journal of Pedagogy and Creative Teacher has been committed to upholding high editorial standards, implementing a rigorous peer-review process, and disseminating original and high-quality scholarly works in the fields of pedagogy, teacher education, and creative teaching practices.
